Grandaddy

Grandaddy é uma banda de indie rock que vem de Modesto, Califórnia. Formada em 1992 e liderada por Jason Lytle, a banda atingiu níveis elevados entre os apreciadores de música alternativa. A banda é composta por Jason Lytle (vocal, guitarra, teclado), Kevin Garcia (baixo), Aaron Burtch (bateria), Jim Fairchild, (guitarra), Tim Dryden (teclado), porém Lytle pode ser considerado mais que lider da banda, já que ele é quem escreve as letras, compões as canções e produz os discos. A banda é bem experimental, viaja entre vários estilos sem nunca deixar de ter sua própria identidade. Podemos notar similaridades com Flaming Lips, Pixies e diria com toda certeza que eles são a ''inspiração" de algumas bandas contemporâneas como por exemplo e Girls in Hawaii. Extremamente notáveis.
